Eye Treatments: Botox, Thermage and Filler

As you progress into your 30s and 40s, the signs of aging begin to appear around the eyes. The skin around our eyes is thin, which makes fine lines and puffiness/dark circles more noticeable as we age.

O2 Klinik provides a wide range of eye treatments to meet individual expectations such as:

    1. Botox for Crow’s feet lines
    2. Eye Thermage®
    3. Under Eye filler for tired eyes

    Crow’s Feet Lines BOTOX®

Crow’s feet are marked wrinkles at the corner of your eyes. They usually look worse when you smile and age.

    Q: What is Crow’s feet BOTOX®?

A: An FDA approved procedure to reduce Crow’s feet lines by BOTOX® injection. BOTOX®, a Botulinum Toxin is injected into treatment areas that temporarily blocks nerve impulses to the muscles. Thus, it reduces the muscle activities which helps in reducing wrinkles or fine lines.

    Q: Any downtime?

A: Some may experience temporary bruises or numbness. Worry not as this is only for a short period of time.

Q: When can I see the result?

A: You will be able to see reduction of wrinkles after 5-7 days.

Q: Do I need to maintain?

A: Crow’s feet BOTOX® lasts around 3-4 months depending on individuals. However, after several treatments with Crow’s feet BOTOX®, the effects will last longer and a repeat BOTOX is required every 6 months.

Appointment is scheduled 1-2 weeks after the initial treatment for reviews or if any additional treatment is required.

    Q: Why choose O2 Clinic?

A: We strive for natural wrinkle-free results.

    Eye Thermage®

    Q: What is Eyelid Thermage®?

A: A non- surgical procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to create a gentle heating to stimulate collagen production that tightens and lifts the eyelid skin. It’s best used in:

    • “hooding” – reduces mild to moderate loose skin on the upper eyelid
    • wrinkly eyelids – reduces fine wrinkles above and below the eye
    • makes the eye look more “open”

Q: What kind of results can I expect with Thermage? When will I see results? How long will it last?

A: You will feel immediate tightening after the procedure and full effect after 6 months. Treatment results have been observed to last for at least 2 years.

Q: How safe is Eyelid Thermage?

A: Thermage device is FDA approved which is very safe with no significant adverse effect reported to date.

Q: How is the procedure done?

A: First of all, you have to remove any contact lenses and make-up. Then, a small rubber patch (grounding pad) will be placed on your abdomen. A small numbing drop will be applied into the eyes and a special contact lens shield is placed in the eye. The contact lens shield has a cushion of special ointment on the side next to the eye. You can feel the lens, but it’s not uncomfortable at all.

After that, O2 doctor will place a tiny tip on the eyelid skin and go over it pulse by pulse. Multiple passes are done, all over the eyelid skin right up to the eyelid margin, up to the eyebrows, and down to the eye socket bone. You may feel a sensation of heat.

Usually, O2 doctor will treat one upper and lower eyelid. After one side is done, you can sit up to see the difference already from the other side. After that, all of the above are repeated on the other eye. The whole procedure usually takes less than an hour.

Under Eye Filler For Tired Eyes

Q: Why do my eyes always look tired?

A: Two main culprits in making one look tired, the eye bag and dark circles.

Q: How does under eye filler works?

A: Under eye fillers are hyaluronic acid injections done over the sunken area, known as tear trough. Hyaluronic acid is naturally found in our skin where it can bind water molecules to give natural youthfulness and plumpness. When the sunken area is restored, it automatically lightens and reduces dark circles and eye bags as well as fine wrinkles.

Q: Is the procedure painful? Are there any downtime?

A: Minimal discomfort that is well tolerated. Some redness, minor swelling or bruising may occur in the treatment area but can easily be hidden with simple make up.

Q: When can I see the result?

A: Immediate as only a small amount is required to improve the under eye area.

Q: How frequent do I need to do the procedure?

A: The body eventually breaks down hyaluronic acid and absorbs it. Usually it lasts a year depending on individuals.
